Late-Night Armed Robber Steals $1,300 Cash From Long Island Business, Flees: Police

Police are searching for a man who ran off with over $1,300 in a late-night armed robbery on Long Island.

Just after midnight on Sunday, April 16, an armed robber made off with over $1,300 in cash, police say. Detectives are investigating the incident and looking for the suspect.

The incident took place at 12:36 a.m. on Sunday, April 16 in North Massapequa, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

An unidentified man walked into a gas station located at 975 Hicksville Road, displayed a handgun at the counter, and demanded money from the cashier.

He allegedly took $1,315 total before fleeing on foot, heading southbound on Hicksville Road, police said.

The robber was said to have been wearing a black knit hat, a black mask, sunglasses, a black sweatshirt, light-colored gloves, black shoes, and black pants with white stripes.
